Marysville High School's Student Council presents the 7th Annual Pi Day 5K and 1 mile fun run!
This year's race will be run (of course) on Pi Day...Saturday, March 14th.
The 1-mile fun run will begin at 8:30 am with the 5K race following at 9:00 am. Start and finish line in the bus loop of Marysville High School (on Delaware between Huron and Collard).
This year, the 5K is back to being a chip-timed race! Age-group places (top 2) and overall winners will receive awards.
The 1 Mile is still an un-timed fun run. :) Each child under the age of 18 will receive a medal upon finishing the 1-mile courtesy of Ropposch Brothers Floor Covering in downtown Port Huron.
All participants are invited in after the run for pie!
Tech shirts are included with registration in the 5K and the regular-priced 1 Mile run. There is also a non-shirt price option available for the 1 mile.
We have once again partnered with the Starting Line Youth Running Fund, an organization whose goal is to remove financial barriers from children who are interested in the sport of running. The fund donates money to local youth running clubs to ensure children have proper running gear, water and snacks, entry into local races, and much more. If you sign up via the Run Signup registration link, you can choose to donate an additional amount of money if you wish to this fund, and all of the money raised will be used to sponsor local children in the Pi Day events. With this donation set up, we've been able to give over 100 free race entries for kids in the last two years!
Proceeds from this year's race will go to the Marysville High School Sophomore Class.
From everyone in the Marysville High School Sophomore Class, THANK YOU so much for your support of this event! We can't promise that a freak snowstorm won't happen, but we can promise you a fun event. :)
